March of Fashion

Doodle 20: March of Fashion
On April 12th this year, Community Middle School is hosting a March of Fashion: a fashion show which supports the March of Dimes which supports prematurely born babies. Lots of supporting going on here. So, come see it! I'll be modeling! (unfortunately...)
"Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening." ~Coco Chanel
Doodle 21: Log of a Log
All you math nerds need one word: Logarithms. 'Nuff said. (Inspired by Kimberly Ding)

The Radley House

Hello everyone! It's spring break for me, so I finally have time to scan in my huge pile of new doodles!

I also have a new video out on my YouTube channel, make sure to like and subscribe! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-HFwLLXAsE

Doodle 16: The Radley House
We've been reading To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee in IRLA class, and we had to provide a rough sketch of the Radley House. Here's mine!

"You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view--" ~Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird

Doodle 17: The Pendant
Here's something that I really wasn't planning on doodling... I just started drawing random patters and then this happened.

Doodle 18: Quack
This was originally just going to be an eye, but, again, I don't know why I drew this duck but I just felt like it. :)
"If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands." ~Douglas Adams

Doodle 19: I Do
This is all random... I didn't know how to draw the legs, but I hope it's accurate enough of a doodle.
"In a nerd wedding, instead of saying 'I do.' They say, 'I accept the terms and conditions.'" ~Anonymous

I'm so glad to be back with my newer doodles! Remember to keep on doodling and to read To Kill a Mockingbird because it truly is a great book!

YouTube

I know this is totally unrelated to the doodling blog, but other than doodling, one of my favorite things to do is sing. I have a YouTube channel and here's my first video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fD2GUbALxc8&feature=youtu.be

Subscribe and like!

Thanks so much for all of your support! If you don't like music, just don't click the link. ;)

but, for the sake of the doodling blog related things, here's another old doodle.

Remembering Doodles 10: Run Over
SPOILER ALERT (again): do not look at this doodle if you have not read And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie! This contains major spoiler points that completely ruin and perfectly crafted mystery novel! Please read it/ finish the novel before looking at this doodle, otherwise, just skip it!

Another reference to the book And Then There Were None when the reader learns of Anthony Marston's background when he killed an innocent little girl. It is also a quick sketch when I had color pencils. Yay!
"The legal life's narrowing! I'm all for crime! Here's to it." ~Anthony Marston (And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie)

"For me, the joy of doing it is doodling when I want to. But if I had to do it, I'd lose the joy." ~Matthew Ashford

Thanks for reading and, as usual, keep on doodling!

Cliff

Once again, I have extra time today, but not enough time to scan things in, so more old doodles!

Remembering Doodles 8: Cliff
On that same camping trip mentioned in previous doodles, I went hiking and the view was so majestically simple that I had to make a quick sketch of it before we moved on.

"You've got to jump off cliffs and build your wings on the way down." ~Ray Bradbury

Remembering Doodles 9: Hanged
SPOILER ALERT: do not look at this doodle if you have not read And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie! This contains major spoiler points that completely ruin and perfectly crafted mystery novel! Please read it/ finish the novel before looking at this doodle, otherwise, just skip it!

This is Vera Claythorne at the end, hanging herself. I had brought colored pencils for a project to school and managed to make this in color! Yay!
"Don't you see? We're the Zoo... Last night, we were hardly human anymore. We're the Zoo..." ~Vera Claythorne (And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie, Chapter 15)

Well, that's it for today! I hoped you enjoyed my old doodles and after March is over I hope to upload all of my new doodles!

Remember to never give up doodling and getting your ideas down on paper!

"I would hardly call myself an artist in that sense; I doodle, I draw, I'm not a trained artist, I couldn't sit down and do an accurate portrait of anyone." ~Rene Auberjonois

Cheeburger Cheeburger?

As of now, I seriously have no time to spend all that time scanning my drawings into the computer. So, I decided that in my few minutes of free time, I could offer old drawings. I know they are not good, but keep in mind that age I was when I drew these.

Remembering Doodles 4: Cheeburger Cheeburger
This was during a camping trip, where we stopped a Cheeburger Cheeburger for lunch.
Remembering Doodles 5: Torch at Night
This was during that same camping trip, but at the campsite. It was a very quick sketch before I ran off to play manhunt. In this campsite, there were many rocks and torches lit around. Yes, I did spot the big dipper and I was super-excited about that. We eat s'mores every time we go camping, which explains the plate on the rock, and the tent in the distance was supposed to be ours.
Remembering Doodles 6: ChampiƱones
Once again, a doodle in blue highlighter (i know right, there's finally color!) related to our mushroom joke in Spanish. If you don't know what I'm talking about, please refer to Doodle 1. "I am...a mushroom on whom the dew of heaven drops now and then." ~John Ford, The Broken Heart (1633)
Remembering Doodles 7: Flip-flop
Just a quick sketch of my flip flop. "With the right flip-flops you can do anything --" ~anonymous
Once again, thanks so much for reading! And remember to keep doodling! As John Emmerling said, "Even if you can't draw, do a little doodle or rip and illustration from a magazine -- these visuals will help bring your idea to life."

Obsession

I promise, this will be quick.

Doodle 12: Princess Mononoke (Sen)
If you know me well, you should know that I obsess over things. Books, movies, singers, artists, actors, you name it. Right now, I love all (and when I say all, I mean most) Studio Ghibli movies. Yesterday, I just watched Princess Mononoke, which is a great movie by the way, so if you haven't watched it, please do. I loved the complexity of the characters, the plot and the overall lesson that it taught. If you read my my rant on Spirited Away (another great movie) on my Erasing the Words blog, I usually hate it when characters aren't shown getting together, but for this movie, it was oddly satisfying that they didn't. I have no idea why, but it's just another reason to say it was the best movie ever. Anyways, I doodled this during "snack time" in Chinese School, and I'm actually really proud of it because I didn't have any pictures of Sen to refer to. I was going to edit it and make it a lot better when I got home and saw pictures of her, but then I realized I would kind of be cheating you guys, because I promised that I would give you my unedited doodles.
Doodle 13: Kodama
This is once again relating to the movie Princess Mononoke. Here is a kodama who lives in the Deer God's forest.
Doodle 14: Haru
Approximately a week ago, I watched the movie The Cat Returns, also by Studio Ghibli, and I found it absolutely amazing, so here was a doodle of the main character, Haru, in cat form. If you haven't watched this movie either, you definitely should! Again, this picture was drawn without reference, so I know it's not all that accurate....
Doodle 15: Half Head
This is a picture I drew in a workbook for Chinese School... I was going to draw the whole head, but it didn't fit because of that stupid crease down the center. I still like the half that I drew, though. :)
Remembering Doodles 3: Breakfast Near the Fire-pit
My family and friends go camping every year near the fourth of July-ish time and I almost always bring a notebook. Here is a doodle I drew when I was 10 (the date and time are on the drawing). I guess I though it was really good when I drew it, but now it really doesn't seem that great. Well, anyways, breakfast was always eaten near the campfire, so I just decided to draw the pot that we put on the fire and the fire-pit itself. Not bad, eh?
Once again, thanks for reading! I really do recommend the movies Spirited Away, The Cat Returns, and Princess Mononoke! Feel free to explore Studio Ghibli's movies!

The Apocalypse

Not the best week for me... I've been extremely busy, and I'm going to be even busier in March. Anyways, I want to shout out to everyone that even though you might not be good at drawing, keep doodling! Develop your own style! I mean, everyone hated Picasso, and look where he is now! After he died... er... disregard that. Anyways, the point is, don't ever stop drawing. Even if you draw like me. Then we can try to improve our bad doodles together. ;)

Doodle 7: More Heads
This was actually drawn a while ago on a math packet, and I kept forgetting to share it, so here it is! I know, she looks really girly. And out of proportion. And it's a pretty much bad drawing. Whatever.

Doodle 8: Anonymous Creature
I don't know where this came from, and how it became what it is. All I know is that I was procrastinating with doing math homework, and started drawing a bunch of jagged lines, and now we have this on my 5.4 Introduction to Exponential and Logarithmic Equations notes packet. I know the tail of it was inspired by Pikachu, though.
Doodle 9: Michiyo Jurietto
In writing one of my stories, I created a Japanese character, named Michiyo Jurietto, and this is how I approximate her looking like. Probably prettier, though. And more cool-looking. xD Somehow, I just can't seem to draw well.
Doodle 10: Apocalyptic Words
A little something I doodles to illustrate my sentence for our "Word of the Day" in IRLA class. Here is the sentence: Hopefully, the planets will never deviate from their orbits.
Doodle 11: Gambling with Verbs
Once again, a doodle of my "Word of the Day" sentence. It's very plain, and I think that's the reason why I like it. :) Or maybe that's just an excuse for not drawing enough.... Sentence: He squandered his money because he gambled too much.
That's it for today! Thanks for reading my blog and keep on drawing!
